What will Happen to Disbelievers on the Day of Judgement?

Upon being shown a glimpse of the Paradise, he will never get a ‘whiff’ of, the disbeliever while cramped for space in his grave will repeatedly plead: "My Lord, do not bring the last hour. Do not bring the last hour."

The Day of Resurrection will be a horrific sight to behold for disbelievers:
"…He only delays them until a Day when eyes will stare (in horror)." (Quran 14:42)
They will be wrapped in utter humiliation when raised to life a second time:
"The Day they will emerge from the graves rapidly as if they were, toward an erected idol, hastening. Their eyes humbled, humiliation will cover them. That is the Day which they had been promised." (Quran 70:43)
Judgement Day

Naked and uncircumcised, the disbelievers will be gathered, having fallen on their faces deaf, blind, and mute. Ill-prepared for the blazing fire that awaits them:
We will gather them on the Day of Resurrection (fallen) on their faces – blind, dumb, and deaf. Their refuge is Hell; every time it subsides We increase them in blazing fire." (Quran 17:97)
The disbelievers will meet Allah SWT on three occasions

#1. They will meet the Almighty on three occasions. On the first, they will seek His sympathy, saying: "The prophets did not come to us!" When Allah SWT has mentioned in the Noble Quran:
"…And never would We punish until We sent a messenger." (Quran 17:15)
And in an even more befitting reply to them:
"…Lest you say: ‘There came unto us no bringer of glad tidings and no warner….’" (Quran 5:19)
#2. During the next meeting, they continue making excuses but also admit to their guilt. Their devils and demons will disassociate themselves from their grave crimes, saying:
“His (man’s) personal demon will say: ‘Our Lord! I did not push him to transgress. Rather, he was himself in error, far astray.’" (Quran 50:27)
But Allah the All-Just and Wise are not One to be deceived:
"Dispute not in front of me. I have already advanced before you the threat. The sentence that comes from Me cannot be changed. And I am not unjust (in the least) to the slaves." (Quran 50:28-29)
#3. Their third and final encounter with Allah will be to receive their Book of Deeds. A meticulous record!
"And the record [of deeds] will be placed [open], and you will see the criminals fearful of that within it, and they will say: ‘Oh, woe to us! What is this book that leaves nothing small or great except that it has enumerated it? And they will find what they did present [before them]. And your Lord does not do injustice to anyone." (Quran 18:49)

the Day of Judgement

Denial of Resurrection and poisoning the minds of others

The evil ones will be reprimanded before every son of Adam for their wickedness and denial of resurrection:
“…You have certainly come to Us, just as We created you the first time.’ But you claimed that We would never have an appointment!" (Quran 18:48)
Every single disbeliever will be questioned: ‘Did you think We would meet?’ And as each one will reply: No! Allah shall say: ‘I will forget about you as you forgot Me!’

Allah will neither speak to them nor purify them. Their blatant lies will not cease until Allah seals their mouth, and their limbs testify against them:

"That Day, We will seal over their mouths, and their hands will speak to Us, and their feet will testify about what they used to earn." (Quran 36:65)
The disbelievers do not merely bear the evil of their sin alone. There are many whom they misguide and whose sin they carry:
“…That they may bear their burdens (i.e., sins) in full on the Day of Resurrection and some of the burdens of those whom they misguide without knowledge. Unquestionably, evil is that which they bear." (Quran 16:24-25)

The disbeliever will have no intercessor

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) will not lift his head from prostration as he intercedes on behalf of all believers. The disbelievers, on the other hand, will have no friend, helper, or protector on that fateful day:
"…And the wrongdoers will not have any protector or helper." (Quran 42:8)

The disbelievers will be disowned by their allies, saint, and advisors

The Day of Judgement will be a moment of truth for all evil allies who denied God and the Last Day. Disbelieving folk who were once partners in crime in their worldly life, will cut off all ties and despise each other in the Afterlife:
"(And they should consider that) when those who have been followed disassociate themselves from those who followed (them), and they [all] see the punishment and cut off from them are the ties [of relationship]. Those who followed will say, ‘If only we had another turn [at worldly life] so we could disassociate ourselves from them as they have disassociated themselves from us.’ Thus will God show them their deeds as regrets upon them. And they are never to emerge from the Fire." (Quran 2:167)

No ransom will avail the disbelievers on the Day of Recompense

The devastation of the wickedly sinful disbelievers will cause them to pray: ‘O God, have mercy on me and put me in the Fire.’ Allah will ask them: ‘Do you wish you had a whole earth-full of gold so you could pay it to set yourself free?’ To which he will respond: ‘Yes.’ At which point, they will be told: ‘You were asked for something much easier than that - worship God alone.’ (Sahih al-Bukhari)
The foolishness of the disbelievers will be abundantly apparent. Allah will show them how simple being asked to worship Him was. And yet they chose to reject such a critical yet straightforward and beautiful truth. They embraced a sin that carried grave consequences. Their ego, pride, and arrogance, the clear culprits. Not even an earth-full of gold would suffice them as a ransom on Judgement Day.
"And they were not commanded except that they should worship Allah (alone), being sincere to the upright religion (of Islam)..." (Quran 98:5) Learn More From Quran For Kids Academy
The good deeds of disbelievers will be lost
No good deed will avail anyone unless they believe in One God. They may be compensated for them during their worldly life itself, but in the Hereafter, they will all be lost:
"But the disbelievers – their deeds are like a mirage in a lowland which a thirsty one thinks is water until, when he comes to it, he finds it is nothing, but he finds God before Him, Who will pay him in full his due; and God is swift in account." (Quran 24:39)

The records of disbelievers handed to them in their left hand

The written record of disbelievers will be given to them from behind their back into their left hands. Their Earthly life would have availed them naught. Averse to reading its contents, they will wish destruction upon themselves:

"But as for he who is given his record in his left hand, he will say: ‘Oh, I wish I had not been given my record and had not known what is in my account.’" (Quran 69:25-26)
"But as for he who is given his record behind his back, he will cry out for his destruction." (Quran 84:10-11)
Disbelievers will enter Hell and wish that they were turned to dust
The disbelievers will be led into Hell in condemned groups. The keepers of Hell will ask if they had received no book or messenger to warn them about their meeting with Allah. They will respond with a ‘yes,’ but Allah’s judgment will already be in effect.

Pagans followed by Jews and Christians will all be driven into Hell. Some will fall into Hell, and others will be snatched by hooks, leading to an uproar. Disbelievers will wish to be turned to dust, rather than having to endure the evil consequences of their vile actions. They will have met the richly-deserved doomed fate that Allah had cautioned them about:
"Indeed, We have warned you of a near punishment on the Day when a man will observe what his hands have put forth, and the disbeliever will say: ‘Oh, I wish that I were dust!’" (Quran 78:40)
